Classic Hardware's Retrolite Collection is an homage to the vintage Bakelite jewelry from the 1940s and 50s. Bakelite was deemed too costly and unsafe to make, which is why production of Bakelite jewelry stopped int eh early 60s. Classic Hardware's special blend of Polyurethane and Resin gives the same look and feel of bakelite without being harmful to make or menacing to wear.
